Protestors answered to the call of multiple organizations; Palestinian Forum in Britain (PFB), Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC), Friends of Al-Alaqsa (FOA), Stop the war coalition, and the Muslim Association of Britain (MAB).

Former Labor leader Jeremy Corbyn MP was among the speakers at the rally and expressed his sympathy and grief for the victims of the israeli aggression on Gaza.

The Palestinian ambassador to the UK Husam Zomlot noted that the huge number of attendees is the answer to those who doubt the support of public opinion and solidarity with the Palestinians.

Vice President of the PFB, Zahir Birawi, on the occasion of the 73rd anniversary of the Nakbah, has reminded demonstrators of the complicity of the British government since the Balfour declaration and that the Palestinian people will not forgive these crimes if the government does not apologize and stop supporting the terrorist state of israel.

MAB president Raghad Al-Tikriti had three messages for those present at the day. The first message was of resilience and appreciation for the Palestinian people and their strength against one of the strongest armies.

The second message is to the British government criticizing its disgraceful silence despite the atrocities committed by the Israeli government while the third message was a salute to all of those who answered and came out to demonstrate their solidarity for the Palestinians and denounced the illegal actions of the state of Israel, emphasizing the right of the Palestinians to exist, resist and return.

The demonstration started at Marble Arch and carried on to High street Kensington in front of the Israeli embassy.

A demonstration was held in Manchester with 5,000 attendees in solidarity with the Palestinian people. Former mayor of Manchester Afzal Khan emphasized the importance of supporting the Palestinian cause and holding Britain accountable, morally and legally, towards the Palestinian people and called for recognizing officially that Palestine is under occupation.

Other cities including Birmingham and Bradford hosted similar protests. (ILKHA)
