Turkey: Non-domestic producer price index rises by 33.19% annually
The non-domestic producer price index (ND-PPI) increased by 33.19% annually and 7.45% monthly, the Turkish Statistical Institute said in a statement on Wednesday.
ND-PPI increased by 7.45% monthly and by 3.38% in December of the previous year, by 33.19% on the same month of the previous year, and by 27.54% on the twelve months moving averages basis in March 2021.
Manufacturing increased by 33.14% annually
ND-PPI in two main sectors of industry increased by 35.35% for mining and quarrying, by 33.14% for manufacturing compared with the previous year.
The indices of main industrial groups; increased by 37.37% for intermediate goods, by 30.91% for durable consumer goods, by 27.99% for non-durable consumer goods, by 90.14% for energy, by 26.08% for capital goods, annually.
Manufacturing increased by 7.42% monthly
ND-PPI in two main sectors of industry increased by 9.55% for mining and quarrying, by 7.42% for manufacturing compared with the previous month.
The indices of main industrial groups; increased by 8.79% for intermediate goods, by 6.36% for durable consumer goods, by 5.90% for non-durable consumer goods, by 15.68% for energy, by 5.67% for capital goods, monthly.
The lowest annual increase was in other transport equipment by 18.36%
The lowest rates of the annual increase in ND-PPI by subdivisions of industry were for other transport equipment by 18.36%, for printing and recording services by 20.88%, for basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutic preparations by 21.31%.
On the other hand, the highest rates of annual increase in ND-PPI by subdivisions of industry were for coke and refined petroleum products by 90.14%, for metal ores by 51.33%, for basic metals by 49.63%.
The lowest monthly increase was in printing and recording services by 4.32%
The lowest rates of monthly increase in ND-PPI by subdivisions of industry were for printing and recording services by 4.32%, for leather and related products by 4.82%, for wearing apparel by 5.03%.
On the other hand, the highest rates of monthly increase in ND-PPI by subdivisions of industry were for coke and refined petroleum products by 15.68, for metal ores by 15.20%, for basic metals by 10.12%. (ILKHA)
