A six-footed lamb born in southeastern Turkey
A five-legged, six-footed lamb has been born in the Çınar district of Turkey’s southeaster Diyarbakır province.
The lamb that was born 2 weeks ago in the Duzova (Qerhêta) village, located 18 kilometers away from Çınar district center, has no health problems other than extra feet.
Farmer Abdulhakim Bulut said that he spotted the unusual arrival when the lamb was born.
“I have been working in animal husbandry for 50 year, but never seen a fifth leg, let alone with six feet,” Bulut said.
The lamb's extra leg is protruding from its front shoulder area and has two feet attached to it.
The lamb is more likely to have a sporadic individual genetic defect, according to veterinarians. (ILKHA)
