Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan performed Friday prayer at the Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque.
Answering reporters’ questions following the prayer, Erdoğan noted that 2020 has been a year afflicted by miseries and that COVID-related deaths will hopefully be on the decrease in 2021 thanks to the measures put in place.
Stating that 3 million doses of vaccine have already arrived in Turkey, Erdoğan said that Turkey plans to procure 50 million doses from China, with a similar amount also possible to be brought from Germany.
