Coronavirus: Iran reports 7,820 new cases, 386 deaths in the last 24 hours
Iran has reported 386 new deaths from coronavirus over the past 24 hours, bringing the number of deaths from the virus to 34,864, the Health Ministry Spokeswoman Sima Lari said in her daily press conference on Saturday.
After 7,820 more people tested positive for coronavirus in the past 24 hours, the number of infections has risen to 612,772 in the country.
There are at least 5,185 people in intensive care units, Lari said, adding that, of those tested positive for the virus, more than 481,930 patients have recovered and been discharged from hospital.
So far, more than 4,929,005 have been taken across the country to detect infected cases, said the Health Ministry spokeswoman.
According to Worldometer, which is a reference website that provides counters and real-time statistics for diverse topics, the global death toll from coronavirus has surpassed 1,195,608 with 46,017,021 cases and more than 33,307,167 recoveries. (ILKHA)
