India’s death toll from coronavirus reaches 114,642
578 more people have died from coronavirus over the past 24 hours in India, rising the country’s death toll from the virus to 114,642, the Health Ministry said.

The number of infections has reached 7,550,273, an increase of 55,511 cases in the last 24 hours.
6,663,608 patients suffering from the disease have been discharged from hospital after being cured.
According to official records, India is the second hardest hit by coronavirus pandemic country after the United States.
On the other hand, India National Supermodel Committee, a scientific panel which has been initiated by the Department of Science and Technology (DST) to help monitor the future transmission of infection, said that the onset of winter and upcoming festivals could lead to a significant increase of up to 2.6 million coronavirus cases a month if the rules in place to contain the spread of the virus are relaxed.
