At least 12 civilians killed, more than 40 wounded in Armenian missile attack on Ganja
Armenian Armed Forces have killed at least 12 civilians, including 2 children, and injured more than 35 others in a missile attack on Ganja city of Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijani sources reported earlier Saturday.
“SCUD Ballistic Missile attack and indiscriminate killing of civilians by Armenia's Nickol Pashinyan in Ganja is the same tactic and missile system used by Saddam Hussein against civilians,” said Hikmet Hajiyev, assistant of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, in a post on his Twitter account.
Heavy fighting between Armenian and Azerbaijani forces erupted in the disputed Nagorno-Karabakh region on September 27.
Azerbaijani and Armenian sides agreed to start substantive talks over Nagorno-Karabakh, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Saturday.
The ceasefire started at noon on October 10, according to a document agreed upon by Azerbaijani, Armenian and Russian foreign ministers in Moscow.
However, Armenia Army has continued its attacks in violation of temporary humanitarian truce. (ILKHA)
