United States: The number of confirmed coronavirus cases reaches 8,223,152
874 people have died from coronavirus in the past 24 hours, rising the United States’ death toll from the virus to 222,835, according to Johns Hopkins University.
8,223,152 people have until now tested positive for coronavirus in the country, an increase of 66,129 new cases in the past 24 hours.
Until now, at least 5,320,139 patients suffering from the pandemic have recovered and been discharged from hospital in the country.
At least 122,695,348 tests have been carried out to detect coronavirus infections in the country.
New York, which is being hit the hardest by the novel coronavirus in the U.S, has so far reported more than 515,024 confirmed cases, with at least 33,442 deaths.
