Coronavirus: Iran reports 3,521 new cases, 190 deaths in the last 24 hours
Iran has reported 190 new deaths from coronavirus over the past 24 hours, bringing the number of deaths from the virus to 25,779, the Health Ministry Spokeswoman Sima Lari said in her daily press conference on Monday.
After 3,521 more people tested positive for coronavirus in the past 24 hours, the number of infections has risen to 449,960 in the country.
There are at least 4,068 people in intensive care units, Lari said, adding that, of those tested positive for the virus, more than 376,531 patients have recovered and been discharged from hospital.
So far, more than 3,959,783 have been taken across the country to detect infected cases, said the Health Ministry spokeswoman.
According to Worldometer, which is a reference website that provides counters and real-time statistics for diverse topics, the global death toll from coronavirus has surpassed 1,003,150 with 33,356,010 cases and more than 24,665,184 recoveries. (ILKHA)
