HAMAS, Fatah to announce national consensus soon
Fatah and HAMAS Movements said that a vision for national consensus had been matured that would provide for a comprehensive national dialogue with the participation of all Palestinian forces and factions.
In a joint statement concluding the Turkey Dialogues, the two movements indicated that the final and official announcement of the national consensus will be made at the meeting of Secretaries-General of Palestinian factions sponsored by the President of the Palestinian Authority Mahmoud Abbas.
The announcement will not be later than the first of October and the practical and pragmatic steps will start immediately after the conference.
During Turkey’s dialogues, both movements focused on the steps agreed upon at the Conference of Secretaries-General that was held earlier this month in Ramallah and Beirut.
The two movements affirmed the covenant and commitment for Palestinian people to jointly work to defend the rights and interests of Palestinians.
The meetings of the two movements' delegations started in Istanbul on Tuesday.
Jibril Rajoub, the Secretary of the Fatah Central Committee, headed the Fatah delegation, while Saleh al-Arouri, deputy head of Hamas political bureau, headed the Hamas delegation. (ILKHA)
