A 4.2 magnitude earthquake occurs in Marmara Sea
The earthquake occurred in the Marmara Sea in northwestern Turkey, the country’s Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency announced on Thursday.

The earthquake took place at around 04:38 p.m., with its epicenter at a distance of 18.87 kilometers from Marmaraereğlisi, a district in İstanbul's neighboring Tekirdağ province.
The quake was felt in İstanbul, the most populated city in Turkey, and its neighboring cities, according to local reports.
