Spain’s death toll from coronavirus rises to 23,822
Spain has reported 301 new deaths from coronavirus in the past 24 hours, taking the country’s death toll to 23,822.

The number of confirmed cases has been 229,422, an increase of 1,308 cases in the past 24 hours.
About 102,548 patients suffering from coronavirus have recovered and been discharged from hospital.
Spain has the second-highest coronavirus cases after the U.S. and the third-highest number of deaths after the U.S. and Italy.
The actual number of cases, however, is likely to be much higher, as many people with only mild or no symptoms are unlikely to have been tested. The number of deceased is also believed to be an underestimate due to lack of testing and reporting in the country. (ILKHA)
