Coronavirus worldwide: The number of confirmed cases surpasses 2,600,000

The coronavirus pandemic, which was first identified in Wuhan, China and declared a pandemic by World Health Organization on March 11, is continuing to claim the lives of thousands of people around the world.
The United States has the highest number of confirmed coronavirus cases with 849,092 cases, followed by Spain with 208,389 cases, Italy with 187,327 cases, France with 159,877 cases, Germany with 150,648 cases, the United Kingdom with 133,495 cases, Turkey with 98,874 cases, Iran with 85,996 cases and China with 82,798 cases.
The United States also has the highest death toll from the virus with 47,681 deaths, followed by Italy with 25,085 deaths, Spain with 21,717 deaths, France with 21,340 deaths, the United Kingdom with 18,100 deaths.
A total of 721,994 patients have so far recovered and been discharged from hospital. (ILKHA)
