The coronavirus pandemic, which was first identified in Wuhan, China and declared a pandemic by World Health Organization on March 11, is continuing to claim the lives of thousands of people around the world.

The United States has the highest number of confirmed coronavirus cases with 710,021 cases, followed by Spain with 190,839 cases, Italy with 172,434 cases, France with 147,969 cases, Germany with 141,397 cases, the United Kingdom with 108,692 cases, China with 82,719 cases and Iran with 79,494 cases.

A total of 571,149 patients have so far recovered and have been discharged from hospital. (ILKHA)
