Turkey issues a travel warning for Mongolia due to coronavirus outbreak
Turkish Foreign Ministry issued travel warning for Mongolia in a statement on its website after Mongolian official had announced that Mongolia was at risk of coronavirus outbreak spread.
The statement reminded that Mongolia government had closed schools in the country and restricted the arrival of foreign citizens from China to Mongolia only by the Ulanbator (Buyan Ukhaa) airport and the Zamiin-Uhd railway border gate in order to contain the spread of the outbreak.
The statement said that Turkish citizens, who would go to Mongolia under the 30-day visa exemption, would be able to use only Ulanbator (Buyan Ukhaa) Airport and Zamiin-UHD railway border crossing.
"In Ulaanbaatar, which houses more than half of Mongolia's population, and in some other cities, the current high level of air pollution facilitates the spread of viruses and diseases, Therefore, there are extensively high fever flu and pneumonia cases in the country while it has a weak health system," the statement warned.
