"West Asia will be a new Vietnam for the United States"
During a speech at a ceremony held to commemorate Soleimani, Ali Akbar Velayati, a foreign policy adviser to Ayatollah Khamenei, Iran's supreme leader, said that the United States must leave the region otherwise there would be another Vietnam for it.

Soleimani was assassinated in a U.S. airstrike in Baghdad on Friday morning.
