US bears responsibility for all consequences of its rogue adventurism: Zarif
The US bears responsibility for all consequences of its rogue adventurism, said Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in a message over the killing of the IRGC commander Qasem Soleimani.
Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif described the US act of assassinating the IRGC commander Qasem Soleimani as dangerous and foolish.
"The US' act of international terrorism, targeting & assassinating General Soleimani—THE most effective force fighting Daesh (ISIS), Al Nusrah, Al Qaeda et al—is extremely dangerous & a foolish escalation," Zarif tweeted on Friday.
The senior commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) Qasem Soleimani and the acting commander of the Deputy Commander of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces (the Hash al-Shaabi) Abu Mahdi Al-Mohandes were separately leaving Baghdad airport in two cars when they were targeted by a US helicopter attack on Friday morning.
The IRGC confirmed the killing of Qasem Soleimani in a statement.
Meanwhile, Iran's Supreme Leader Seyyed Ali Khamenei announced three days of public mourning on the killing of Soleimani. (ILKHA)
