People continue to demonstrate to their reactions against the arrest of medicine students Emine Şahin with the fake statements.

Emine Şahin was arrested by the court on statements, which she said not her own statements but written by the police officers, just because of her "This is an uprising" mumbling while she was passing through the November 10 ceremony held in Edirne, northwest of Turkiye.

The cartoonist Mikail Çiftçi, who reacted to the situation in question with his drawing, said that he reflected the obstruction in front of freedom of thought in his drawings.

Stating that the person in question was detained under an alleged insult to Ataturk and was arrested under the protection Ataturk law, the cartoonist described this detention case as scandalous.

"It is sad to see while freedom of thought and expression is guaranteed in the international arena but does not show itself in Turkiye. What our sister has done needs to be evaluated under the content of freedom of expression, though, and belief," he said.

Noting that he reflected that there is no freedom of thought and expression in Turkiye, through his drawings, Çiftçi said: "We can see in the drawing that there is no freedom of thought and expression in Turkiye. In addition, we see the symbol that symbolizes justice killing the idea of our sister with her sword, blocking it, and throwing the balance of justice in the trash."

Çiftçi stated that he has expressed through the drawing that justice has been thrown away while freedom of thought and expression have been blocking.

Mikail emphasized that university students who are in detention should be released as soon as possible. "Everyone has to react to this situation in their own field. This is how we demonstrated our reaction. This should be compensated as soon as possible and the sister has to be released. Because the continuation of the detention means that the society will be polarized with the hands of the judiciary." (Hamza Adiyaman, Muhammed Said Aksoy - ILKHA)
