İttihad al-Ulama [Union of Scholars] Deputy Chairperson Mullah Bashir Şimşek has explained to the ILKHA about the incidents of sexual abuse against children in recent years.

Şimşek stated that dishonesty and immorality were inoculated through television and newspapers, and said that a great task falls to the state to correct television and the press as soon as and for the formation of spirituality among the society.

Mullah Bashir Şimşek, who draws attention to the fact that the current state understanding and the system produces criminals, said that in this regard, it is guilty of these incidents in its criminal-producing system as much as the criminals him/her self.

Emphasizing that the education system must be reviewed, Şimşek noted the necessity of forming a brand new system for the improvement of the society.

"How did this society become like that?"

"Lately, harassment and killing of children is often heard in the media and it is an embarrassing sight," said Şimşek and added: "Whichever channel you watch, there are pieces of news like that on the screen. Recently, everyone has been mentioning 'hanging'. I want to note that as İttihat al-Ulema representative; these abominations do not end with the execution [hanging] of a human being. Of course, you have to take different steps for this. First of all, where did this problem come from? How did this society become like that? It is absolutely necessary to investigate this and make such determinations. We were not like that. When these people were at peace with faith, we never heard such abominations, these events were not in this society."

"This society should be returned to self"

Underlining that the education system should be strictly observed, Şimşek continued his speech as follows:

"How do these people go through training? Because the ones who put their signature under this ugliness are not a few tacky. This society must be returned to self, and it must be converted. This society must turn to Islam, spirituality. Otherwise, nothing can prevent it. Fear and love of God must be in people's hearts. People have to be trained in this regard. Of course, it is the educational system that will do it. Unfortunately, the education system that exists today is deprived of it. So if we think of it as a factory, the product that we are going to see is what we see right now." (ILKHA)
