Assoc. Dr. Tahsin Kula, Head of Department of Psychology in Diyarbakır Dicle University Literature Faculty, stated that hand spinner has been banned in the schools due to the recent disruption and disturbance in European countries, said that children cannot avoid problems or alternatives with the hand spinners.

Expressing that the person using the hand spinner has distractibility, Kula said that the young people could be the slaves of the cultures of those who invented the hand spinner.

Kula stated that the West particularly took youth in its target, said, “It has revealed medically they the hand spinner causes discomfort in the nervous system and causes dizziness in young people when used too much. Hand spinner is also banned in the country where it was invented and also in many countries of the West. We believe in it that all hearts are satisfied only by the remembrance [dhikr] of Allah.”

Kula emphasized that the families should warn children who use extreme hand spinner. Referring to the Prophet's attention to the importance of the time, he suggested that the time should not be spent on empty things.

“The young people are taking it so far that there are those who are not sleeping and those who neglect their lessons.” Kula said and added, “More importantly, there are people who act irresponsibly. Family should be careful against this how they are careful about drugs. They have to warn their children about hand spinners.”

“There is no productivity in people addicted to such games”

Kula added, “We sometimes do not use the technological tools as it should that the West has given us. As is the mobile phone. The mobile phone actually does not relieve our loneliness nor stress. Vice versa it putting us in the stress. The western world has once whispered something in the ears of the young people as ‘excessive freedom, extreme relief, and irregularity.’ As soon as they could not get ahead of it, they began to free young people with electronic devices and tools. Human kind is social creature and are free from troubles in society. Children cannot get rid of their problems or alternatives with these kinds of games.
