In Diyarbakir, DBP`s central Kayapınar Mayor Mehmet Ali Aydin and Yenişehir Mayor Selim Kurbanoğlu, were arrested by the Ministry of Interior and District Governors were appointed instead by the Interior Ministry.
Yenişehir District Governor Mehmet Özel will serve as mayor of Yenişehir, Kayapınar District Governor Mustafa Kilic will substitute as mayor of Kayapınar.
Former Mayor of Kayapınar Municipality Aydın and former Mayor of Yenişehir Municipality Kurbanoğlu were arrested yesterday and removed from their duties within the scope of PKK investigation carried out by Diyarbakir Public Prosecutor's Office. (ILKHA)
