While anti-Islam thought cause victimization in different countries of Europe, another violation of right news came from Canada.

School spokesman Line Legare made a statement after the violation of right came to the agenda in College de Maisonneuve in Montreal.

“The young woman was asked by her male biology teacher two weeks ago to pull back part of her Islamic head scarf so he could see whether she was wearing headphones. She didn’t want to show him her ears. She instead told her teacher he could touch her ears through her hijab to ensure she wasn't wearing headphones. Then the teacher felt uncomfortable doing so and told her she couldn't take the exam.”

Legare noted the teacher made it clear at the beginning of the school year he reserved the right to ensure students weren't wearing headphones before exams. "Whether the student had a tuque, a hat, or lots of hair," the teacher had written in his course outline he would ask students to show him their ears, it was condoned by the biology department.

It is reported that after the incident has been heard by public, the school got in discussion with the student to find a new date for her to take the exam. (ILKHA)
