Family of Nuri Arslan are expecting justice for their son who was jailed because of his Islamic serves in 1998 with the plots of FETO/PDY’s police officers and judgments. Elder parent of Arslan said that their son is victim of FETO, they haven’t spent any feast with their son for 17 years and their feasts go with sorrow.

Elder father Murat Arslan indicated that his son arrested because of his Islamic identity, “It has been 17 years that my son is arrested. My son is innocent. He was only praying salaah. He was reading Quran in the mosque. I’m his father. I do pray too, I’m fasting and I read Quran too. These are not crimes. This is a Muslim country.” he said and called to authorities.

I haven’t seen my son with me in any feast for 17 years

Arslan remarked that he hasn’t seen his son for 34 feasts, “My heart tear out. I can’t see my son. I cry for day and night. Look at the case of my son for once. Wonder what his crime is. What is the reason did he get arrested? I didn’t understand. Why did they charge him that many years? Today is the day of feast. Every son goes visit their fathers for the feast. I haven’t seen my son with me in any fears for 17 years.” expressions he used.

My son is victim only of FETO

Father Arslan requires for a new retrial for his son, “My son is victim only of FETO, not only my son, police officers and judgments of FETO have punished others in that period. All charged for 30 years. Wonder what their crimes are. Haven’t they seen what FETO did just two months ago? Again they were Muslims stood against the coup. Who else would stand against coup? Only Muslims stand against coups. I only want to learn what the crime of my son is. If he is guilty, then he should stay in jail. But what if my son is innocent and stayed in jail for 17 years? My son now has grandchildren. His children were little when he was arrested.” he said.

My son has tortured for days

Suffered mother Hatun remarked that his son is tortured for days, “I haven’t seen my son for 40 days after they arrested him. We haven’t heard from him. What was the crime of my son is. Wasn’t he a human? Wasn’t he a Muslim? The only crime of my son is being a Muslim. We also want our son be with us in eids.” expressions she used. (ILKHA)
