Suffering heavy damages from the bomb attack carried out by PKK in Devlet Hastanesi Street on August 10, owner of the workplaces have spoken to ILKHA reporter and stressed that people must raise their voice against PKK brutality.

“Mass reaction must be shown to the incident”

Saying that when he got to the scene he came up against burning cars and wounded people around, pharmacist Ferit Akdağ said: “after we closed our store at about 6 o’clock and commuting to our houses, we heard an explosion near the airport intersection. We got off the car and looked around but we didn’t see anything. Then we realised dark smoke rising thereabouts hospital. When we got there were wounded people and cars were burning. Thanks God, we have only material damages in our drug store. It is need to show mass reaction against these incidents rather than holding press statement. We don’t want this kind of events in our region anymore. Some consider that these attacks mustn’t be carried out in populated areas but I think these attacks mustn’t take place anywhere. Killing a man is equal to killing mankind entirely. We are muslims and and we cannot uphold these things.”

“We are stricken with griefs since we are Muslims and Kurds”

Underscoring that it is necessary to object the perpetrators of these incidents stringently but not with weak heartedly, Akdağ said: “being both Muslims and Kurds in this country have been source of grievances for us for a long time. Some tricks are being played over Muslim Kurds’ blood. What happened happens to oppressed Muslims. Some people say we cannot do anything other than praying but in fact we can do more than praying. Of course we will pray and condemn these events but we mustn’t fear from these culprits we have to raise our voice louder against them. Yet, if they weren’t cowards and despicable guys they wouldn’t attack people with bombs. At the night of coup attempt, people took the streets in 81 cities of the country and showed their reaction. We saw what people did against tanks, cannons and F 16s. I believe that people can stop PKK, too.”

“It is time to say stop to this”

Remarking that as people they encounter some incidents that can never be approved, Feridun Aşar said: a tradesman from Kızıltepe, “just as we got on our cars at 18.00, we heard the blast. May God forbid, there may have been hundreds of dead people. No one has the right to make us suffer this. We just want peace and we say ‘enough’. Up to when and where do they continue that? Who do they serve? People are dying. It is time to say stop to this. We have to raise our voice in concert. “

“People need to notice that PKK is western’s pawn”

Pointing out that serious games are being played over Turkey, Yavuz Yılmaz said: “It is time for people to notice the terror organizations such as FETÖ as western’s pawn. We have to be awake. Our people must be awake against these tool organizations acting in line with America, EU and all western’s views. We have to gang up against this type of organizations like people have done for ‘democracy vigil’. In fact there is an inclination in most of people’s mind but they mostly fear from being targeted. So, if we act together in solidarity then we can success.”

“Planting bomb in society displays the betrayal”

Yılmaz said: “planting any bomb in social places can never have a specific target, for whatever purpose it might be this kind of an act displays the betrayal against society. We are talking about an organization betrays its people. It causes its people death. My nephew’s cousin lost his life. He was 24 years old and had two children and a pregnant wife. A woman got widowed and children remained fatherless. They are going to grow up as orphans. Who will account for this?” (ILKHA)
