The Israeli occupation army confirmed the incident, which occurred as part of its ongoing assault on Gaza.

The soldiers, identified as members of the Iron Trails Brigade's 46th Armored Battalion, were participating in operations in the besieged Palestinian enclave. Two of the soldiers were named as Matityahu Ya'akov Perel, 22, from the illegal West Bank settlement of Beit El, and Kanaoo Kasa, 22, from Beit Shemesh, a city west of Jerusalem. The third soldier’s name has not been released.

These deaths raise the number of Israeli soldiers killed to 831 since the war began in October 2023, following widespread violence triggered by decades of occupation and resistance.

Meanwhile, the people of Gaza continue to bear the brunt of the Israeli military's relentless bombardment. Gaza's health authorities report that Israeli airstrikes have killed a staggering 45,936 Palestinians and injured over 109,000 others. Entire neighborhoods have been obliterated, and thousands of families are mourning the loss of loved ones.

The figures highlight the vast disparity in suffering and destruction, with Gaza enduring catastrophic civilian casualties and destruction under Israeli attacks. Observers and human rights organizations have called for an immediate ceasefire and an end to the decades-long blockade and occupation that fuels the ongoing cycle of violence. (ILKHA)
