770 Palestinians killed in Jabalia refugee camp during Israeli assault
The Gaza Government Media Office (GMO) revealed on Wednesday that up to 770 Palestinians have been killed and around 1,000 injured in Jabalia refugee camp during 19 days of Israeli aggression.
The GMO’s statement noted that approximately 200 civilians, including women, have been detained by Israeli forces after being forced to leave their homes in Northern Gaza.
The ongoing assault has exacerbated a growing humanitarian crisis, with more than 100,000 wounded and sick citizens in urgent need of health care. The GMO highlighted that medical treatment is severely limited after four hospitals in Northern Gaza were rendered out of service by Israeli attacks.
The Office also warned of severe shortages in medical supplies and the continued targeting of medical teams. One of the latest victims was Dr. Mohammed Ghanem, a doctor working at Kamal Adwan Hospital.
Health authorities reported that over the past 24 hours, 74 people have been martyred and 130 others have been injured, with hospitals across Gaza struggling to provide adequate care amid the devastation.
The situation in Gaza continues to deteriorate, as international calls for a ceasefire and humanitarian relief intensify in response to the escalating violence. (ILKHA)
