Deadly crash on Polish highway leaves four dead, 12 injured
A horrific multi-vehicle collision on the S7 expressway in northern Poland has resulted in the tragic deaths of four people and injuries to 12 others, including children.
The accident occurred on Saturday morning near the coastal city of Gdynia, involving 18 cars and three trucks.
According to police investigations, the crash was initiated when a truck rear-ended another vehicle. The 37-year-old truck driver has been detained, and authorities are awaiting the results of toxicological tests.
Karol Kościuk, the press officer for the district police station in Pruszcz Gdański, stated that preliminary findings suggest the truck driver was responsible for the collision. The ongoing investigation will delve deeper into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
