The airstrikes hit densely populated areas in central Beirut, marking the third time Israeli forces have attacked locations beyond Beirut's Southern Suburb.

The first strike struck a residential building between Ras al-Nabaa and al-Nuwairi, two highly populated neighborhoods in the heart of Beirut. The airstrike hit the third floor of an eight-story building, causing widespread destruction and multiple injuries. Many residents remain trapped inside the building, with local emergency teams racing to rescue survivors as fires broke out and thick smoke engulfed the area.

Shortly after the first airstrike, Israeli forces launched a second attack on a nearby residential building in the Basta neighborhood. The four-story building collapsed completely as a result of the strike, leaving more people trapped beneath the rubble.

Emergency response teams, including the Lebanese Civil Defense, are currently conducting search and rescue operations at both sites. As of the latest reports, dozens of casualties have been confirmed, with efforts to retrieve survivors continuing.

The Lebanese government has condemned the airstrikes, and local authorities are coordinating efforts to provide medical assistance to the injured. The attacks have sparked further concerns about escalating tensions and civilian casualties in the ongoing conflict. (ILKHA)
