The leaders discussed deepening the strategic partnership between their nations, with a particular focus on boosting trade and investment ties.

During the press conference, President Erdoğan emphasized the longstanding relationship between Türkiye and Albania, highlighting the historical and cultural bonds that have shaped their cooperation. "Our friendly relations with Albania extend far beyond a century. With today's talks, we have further deepened our strategic partnership, which was built on this historical, social, and cultural foundation in 2021," Erdoğan stated.

One of the key outcomes of the discussions was the agreement to increase bilateral trade. Erdoğan underscored that trade and investment initiatives are essential for the prosperity of both nations, expressing Türkiye’s goal to raise the trade volume with Albania to $2 billion in the initial phase.

"We see our initiatives in the spheres of trade and investment as steps to enhance the prosperity of our peoples. In this framework, we continue our joint efforts to increase our trade volume to $2 billion in the first phase," Erdoğan said, adding that both sides agreed to diversify investments into innovative sectors that will provide strategic advantages in the current global economic climate.

Prime Minister Rama echoed Erdoğan’s sentiments, noting the importance of the close partnership between the two nations and expressing optimism about the future of Albania-Turkey relations.

The leaders’ meeting further reinforced the strategic cooperation between Türkiye and Albania, as both countries seek to strengthen economic ties and deepen their collaboration across multiple sectors. (ILKHA)
