Speaking in an interview on Wednesday night with an Arabic news network, Meshaal emphasized the gravity of the situation, warning that Israel's actions threaten the national security of Arab nations.

Meshaal argued that Israel is ramping up pressure on Palestinians in the West Bank in response to the recent "Al-Aqsa Storm," a wave of resistance against the Israeli occupation, according to reports from ABNA24. He stated that the ongoing Israeli actions are part of a broader plot aimed at destabilizing the region and undermining Arab states’ security.

Addressing the prospects of a ceasefire in the ongoing Gaza conflict, Meshaal noted that Hamas had engaged in negotiations aimed at halting hostilities. However, he indicated that the process had come to a standstill after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu withdrew from a previous ceasefire proposal made in July.

"Hamas attempted to manage the ceasefire discussions, but it was Netanyahu who led the talks to a dead end," Meshaal said, suggesting that Israel’s leadership is unwilling to engage in meaningful peace efforts.

Despite Israel’s tactical successes during its recent military invasion of Gaza, Meshaal claimed that the country has suffered considerable strategic losses. While not elaborating on the nature of these setbacks, he implied that Israel’s long-term goals may be hindered by the damage incurred during the conflict. (ILKHA)
