Five Lebanese Civil Defense workers killed in Israeli airstrike on Tyre
Five operational employees from the Tyre Regional Center of the Lebanese Civil Defense were killed following an Israeli airstrike targeting the Civil Defense Center in the town of Derdghaiya, according to an official announcement by the Lebanese Civil Defense.
The statement confirmed that the victims were inside the center at the time of the airstrike, prepared to respond to emergency calls.
General Raymond Khattar, Director-General of the Lebanese Civil Defense, expressed his deepest condolences to the families of the fallen employees. Despite the loss, he reaffirmed the Civil Defense’s dedication to its humanitarian mission, stating that the organization would continue its work regardless of the sacrifices involved.
