Reports confirm that Israeli defense systems failed to intercept any of the missiles launched by Hezbollah, marking a serious security breach.

The Israeli military spokesperson acknowledged the failure, stating that "none of the missiles aimed at Haifa were intercepted," allowing the projectiles to hit residential areas. Local media outlets released footage of the strikes, showing buildings engulfed in flames following the missile barrage.

Six injuries have been reported, including one person in serious condition who was taken to Rambam Hospital in Haifa. Additional injuries were reported from missile impacts in Tabarayya. Israeli Channel 12 confirmed the casualties and the extensive damage caused in both locations.

Hezbollah claimed responsibility for the missile attack, which they described as part of their "Khaybar Operations." In a statement, the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon said it had launched a volley of Fadi 1 missiles targeting Israel's Carmel military base, south of Haifa. The group framed the attack as retaliation for ongoing Israeli airstrikes and military operations in Lebanon, which have targeted civilians and caused significant destruction.

The attack represents a continuation of escalating hostilities between Hezbollah and Israel, with both sides exchanging fire in recent weeks amidst broader regional tensions. (ILKHA)
