Prophet’s Lovers calls for "Al-Quds Alliance" to confront Israeli occupation
In a powerful show of solidarity with Palestine, the Prophet’s Lovers Foundation organized a rally in Diyarbakır, calling for the formation of an "Al-Quds Alliance" to counter Israeli regime and provide military, logistical, and humanitarian support to Gaza.
The event, held at Yenihal Bridge Junction in the central Kayapınar district, drew attention to the ongoing genocide in Gaza, which has persisted for 11 months, and called for united action from Islamic countries.
Dr. Sertaç Tekdal, a representative of the foundation, delivered a speech condemning the silence of some countries in the face of the "atrocities" happening in Gaza. He emphasized that supporting the Palestinian cause is a matter of honor and dignity, and highlighted the importance of taking a stand against oppression.
Tekdal called on 57 Islamic countries—including Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Iran, and Iraq—to join forces and establish a formal "Al-Quds Alliance" aimed at protecting Jerusalem and standing in solidarity with Palestinians facing daily atrocities.
He emphasized that Gaza’s struggle has become a global issue of justice and human dignity. “For 11 months, both atrocity and resistance have continued," Tekdal stated. "On one side are those who resist with dignity, and on the other are those who support the occupation or remain silent for their own interests. The more we, as societies and states, show support for this blessed cause, the more Allah will grant us the honor and glory."
Condemnation of Silence and Inaction
Tekdal did not spare criticism for those who remain indifferent to the suffering of the Palestinian people. He particularly condemned individuals and governments who turn a blind eye to the ongoing genocide in Gaza in exchange for political or economic gain. “Those who remain silent, blind, deaf, and helpless, choosing their own state, interest, or future over justice, will not partake in the honor and glory of supporting this cause,” he said. “While women and children are being slaughtered, those who stay silent for their political interests are deprived of all human qualities.”
Support for Palestinian Struggle Beyond Borders
In his speech, Tekdal also pointed out that supporting the Palestinian cause does not necessarily require being physically present in Gaza. He drew parallels between distant supporters like the Mavi Marmara Martyrs, who gave their lives for Gaza despite being far from the battle, and those who have betrayed the Palestinian cause despite being close to the conflict.
He continued: “There are people around the world, including those who are not believers, who stand by the Palestinians for reasons of humanity and conscience. Their support, even though it may not be motivated by faith, reflects their choice to side with honor and dignity.”
Call to Form an "Al-Quds Alliance"
After Tekdal’s speech, Süleyman Börü, a representative of the Prophet’s Lovers Foundation, read a press statement calling for urgent action. Börü strongly criticized the silence of state leaders in the face of atrocities in Gaza, stating that the ongoing genocide makes the bones of historic Muslim leaders like Saladin-i Ayyubi and Sultan Abdulhamid Khan "cry."
Börü argued that condemnation messages are insufficient to stop the Zionist aggression, and if diplomatic measures fail, the only viable solution is to use force. “The only way to stop the Zionists, who trample on international law and human rights, is through the use of power," Börü declared.
"Military options must be on the table to stop the massacres of children, women, and civilians in Gaza."
He proposed the establishment of an "Al-Quds Alliance," a coalition of Islamic nations that would act as a unified front against Zionist oppression. "This alliance must be formed by Islamic countries putting aside their internal disputes and conflicts, and focusing on the greater goal—liberating Jerusalem and supporting the oppressed in Gaza."
Urgent Need for Action
Börü emphasized that it is no longer time for passive diplomacy but for bold, decisive steps. "It is time to stand against the modern pharaohs of today—the Zionists—who continue to massacre innocent civilians with impunity. It is time for the 57 Islamic countries to unite their military, logistical, and moral efforts to save our brothers and sisters in Gaza."
He also called on Muslim leaders to be as brave as the people who have rallied in support of Palestine. “Peoples around the world are showing courage and solidarity with Gaza, even if their leaders remain silent. We invite the states to be as brave as their people and to take action against Zionist oppression.”
Global Solidarity and Resistance
The rally underscored the importance of global solidarity. Börü praised the "heroic mujahideen" fighting against the Zionist regime, backed by powerful nations like the U.S. and other Western states. He noted that the ongoing genocide in Gaza had triggered worldwide protests, with people from all corners of the globe standing by the Palestinians in their struggle for freedom.
Börü closed his statement by reiterating that this is a moment of existential importance for Gaza and the entire Muslim world. "We are responsible for every drop of blood spilled in Gaza. If we do not take action now, we will leave behind a legacy of occupation and oppression. It is time to take bold steps, to unite against the Zionist alliance of evil, and to stand firmly for justice, dignity, and resistance."
Concrete Demands and Boycotts
The Prophet’s Lovers Foundation also laid out concrete steps for the future. Börü called for continued boycotts of products from companies that support the Zionist occupation regime, urged Islamic countries to cease all forms of trade with Israel, and demanded an end to oil shipments to Israel via third countries.
He further emphasized the need for international recognition of Palestinian statehood and urged support for Hamas’ calls for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza. Börü concluded, “We will continue to stand with Gaza until the Zionist occupation regime is driven into the sea and wiped off the map. Peace be upon the heroic people of Gaza, its leaders who embrace honor, and the mujahideen who resist the Zionist occupation.”
A Call for Unity and Action
The rally in Diyarbakır serves as a reminder of the deep-rooted support for the Palestinian cause in Turkey and across the Muslim world. The Prophet’s Lovers Foundation’s call for an "Al-Quds Alliance" echoes growing frustration with the international community's inability to curb Zionist aggression. As the situation in Gaza worsens, voices like those at the Diyarbakır rally are amplifying calls for tangible action and unity among Islamic nations.
With the conflict showing no signs of resolution, the Prophet’s Lovers Foundation and similar groups will continue to push for political, military, and humanitarian efforts to support Gaza and bring an end to the atrocities being committed against its people. (ILKHA)
