Hamas warns Israel of more "painful blows" after Gush Etzion attack
The Hamas movement issued a press release early Saturday, claiming responsibility for a dual operation near the Gush Etzion and Karmei Tzur settlements, north of al-Khalil.
The group described the attack as a "heroic" act of resistance against the Israeli occupation, asserting that such operations would persist as long as the "brutal aggression" against Palestinians continues.
Hamas emphasized the significance of the operation in terms of both its location and timing, noting that it took place amid heightened Israeli military readiness. The group framed the attack as a direct response to Israel's actions in the West Bank and the ongoing genocide in the Gaza Strip.
In its statement, Hamas asserted that the operation was intended to send a clear message to Israel that no part of Palestinian land could be isolated and that the resistance in the West Bank remains capable of striking at any time and place. The group further claimed that the attack had dealt a significant blow to Israel's security apparatus.
Hamas concluded by warning that Israel would not enjoy security on what it described as Palestinian land and would continue to face "painful blows" from the resistance. (ILKHA)
