President Erdoğan: No mercy for those who threaten Türkiye's security
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a resolute speech at the Gendarmerie and Coast Guard Academy Graduation Ceremony in Ankara, pledging to eliminate terrorism as a threat to the nation.
Addressing the new graduates, President Erdoğan emphasized the crucial role of Türkiye's advancements in defense over the past 22 years in bolstering the country's global standing. He highlighted the significant progress made in the fight against the separatist terrorist organization that has plagued Türkiye for four decades.
"Backing down on this issue is out of the question. We will continue our efforts with determination until terror is no more a source of threat to our country," Erdoğan declared, referencing the recent capture of a high-profile terrorist listed in the red category.
The President made it clear that while the state respects those who abide by the law, it will show no leniency towards those who challenge state authority or endanger public safety. "We have nothing to do with anyone that obeys rules and laws, but we will show no mercy to those who deviate from the law or consider themselves to be superior to the state or public authority," he asserted.
Erdoğan also warned against any threats to the lives, properties, and dignity of Turkish citizens, vowing to take decisive action against criminal elements. "We will give no respite to them, be they mafia, gangs, human traffickers, terrorists, or city bandits," he stated firmly.
The ceremony, attended by military and government officials, marked a significant moment as the President reiterated Türkiye's unwavering commitment to national security and the fight against terrorism. (ILKHA)
