Turkish FM condemns US applause for Netanyahu, labels supporters 'backers of bloody criminal'
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan sharply criticized the applause for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the US Congress, denouncing his supporters as endorsers of a "bloody criminal."
In a statement posted on X, Fidan condemned those who applauded Netanyahu, accusing them of contributing to a "complete collapse of moral standards" and describing their actions as a "historical disgrace." Despite allegations of war crimes in Gaza, Netanyahu received a standing ovation from US lawmakers during his address to a joint session of Congress, where he sought support for his military actions in Gaza.
"The number of martyrs in Gaza has approached 40,000. Millions of Palestinians have lost their homes and been forced to migrate," Fidan said, emphasizing the severe humanitarian crisis caused by the Israeli genocidal aggression.
Fidan expressed confidence that Israeli officials, including Netanyahu, would eventually be held accountable for their actions. "I believe that all Israeli officials, including Netanyahu, who are the architects of this situation, will one day certainly be held accountable before justice," he stated.
He concluded by asserting that those who rely on righteousness rather than slogans and who patiently await the day justice will prevail will ultimately emerge victorious. (ILKHA)
