The commemoration, hosted by lawyer Emin Çınar, began with a solemn recitation of the Quran by Muaz Demir. Following this, HÜDA PAR Mersin MP Faruk Dinç delivered a poignant greeting speech, setting the tone for the evening's tributes.

The event featured performances by Özlem Ajans artists Bilal Güler, Mahfuz Aktekin, and Mehmet Ali Oğuz, who sang hymns and marches that resonated with the audience, highlighting the spirit and legacy of Martyr Sacit.

Additionally, a trailer for a documentary about Martyr Sacit, produced by the MEKTEB ADANA team, was shown to the audience. The full documentary is set to be broadcast on July 22, providing a comprehensive look at Sacit's life and legacy.

In his speech, HÜDA PAR Mersin MP Faruk Dinç expressed deep respect and gratitude for Martyr Sacit, referring to him as "the brave son of Adana, a student of the martyrdom school who sold his world to God in exchange for paradise." Dinç condemned the murderers and instigators, declaring, "They took one Sacit from us, but thousands of Sacits have risen." He highlighted the resilience and determination of those who continue to uphold Sacit's cause.

Dinç emphasized the importance of using a unifying language and criticized the use of divisive rhetoric, which he believes led to Sacit Pişgin's martyrdom. "During the election period, we constantly called for unity and peace in the media, on television, and in our rallies, saying, 'Use unifying language, not divisive language, create an environment of peace and tranquility because we are entering an election, not a war,' but unfortunately, we could not get our message across," Dinç stated. He recalled the tragic attack in which Sacit and the provincial president were performing prayers at the provincial headquarters when they were attacked with knives. The provincial president was injured, and Sacit attained martyrdom.

Dinç highlighted the critical issue of divisive and hateful rhetoric, which he believes played a significant role in the tragic events. "The insistence on using that language of hatred and enmity bore its bitter fruit, and our provincial president and Sacit, who were performing prayers in the provincial headquarters, were attacked with knives," he said. Dinç urged for a move towards unity and peace, stressing that such tragedies could be avoided if a more inclusive and respectful discourse was adopted.

Dinç accused certain political factions, particularly the Kemalists and Apoists, of inciting violence against HÜDA PAR. "We know very well that this attack was not organized by one person alone. Those behind this attack are the political parties that constantly target HÜDA PAR and demonize our party by traveling from square to square," he asserted. Dinç emphasized that these groups motivated the killer by continuously targeting and slandering HÜDA PAR.

Dinç noted the continued efforts to associate HÜDA PAR with violence and condemned the negative propaganda against Muslims, especially those expressing their faith openly. "They are now trying to associate our party with violence again. There is a massacre in Gaza, 40,000 martyrs, and perhaps our brothers are being killed there every second. In Diyarbakır, a group of conscientious youth protested at a café openly supporting the Zionists. Some people caused an uproar over this protest, even though not a single chair was displaced," he explained. Dinç condemned those who use such protests to further their negative propaganda against Muslims.

Dinç criticized the hypocrisy of so-called democratic actions, citing past violence and attacks against HÜDA PAR members. "These are projects to distance Kurds from their values and assimilate them. They speak of human rights as if their past and present are very clean. They portray those who killed 53 of our people and carried out dozens of attacks during the events of October 6-8 as having carried out a democratic action," he stated. Dinç highlighted the brutal murder of 16-year-old Yasin Börü and his friends during these events, condemning those who call such actions democratic.

Dinç concluded by calling for the prosecution of those responsible for inciting the murder of Martyr Sacit and thanking the political parties that offered support after the tragedy. He prayed for mercy on Martyr Sacit and affirmed that their path was his path, and no one could deter them from it.

Theologian Mehmet Göktaş delivered a profound speech on the significance of the day, emphasizing the spiritual connection between martyrdom and walayat (spiritual guardianship). "Allah has bought the souls and properties of the believers. This means that Allah is trading with you, taking the lives, youth, and bravery of your young men, thereby trading with our lands. If Allah does not take lives and properties from a land in His way, it means He has erased that land. This is a special honor and grace for Adana as well," Göktaş stated.

Göktaş spoke about the spiritual impact of the prayers and recitations from Gaza, emphasizing that hearing them brings a profound sense of Allah's light. "Allah's light descended first on Gaza, and it spreads from there to the whole world. Look at the prayers and recitations of the people of that land, their mothers, their children, and the fathers carrying them. Although these are the verses we always recite, hearing them from their mouths has a profound impact as if we are hearing them for the first time, as if Gabriel has just brought them," he explained.

Göktaş explained the significance of martyrdom and its connection to walayat, stating, "Martyrs are those who become Allah's friends before attaining martyrdom. Do not see martyrdom as something simple. A person who has decided to be martyred for Allah means that person has cast away all worldly loves from their heart, thus becoming a wali (saint). Martyrdom means leaving behind the world, inheritance, and everything to go to Allah."

Göktaş emphasized that the enemies of Muslims are those who attack the family institution and the hijab (veil), symbols of modesty and chastity. "Our Sacit, our Yasin, and many other martyrs are also the representatives of modesty, decency, and everything else in the world. Today, believe it, the disbelievers are enemies of the marks of prostration on our foreheads, our decency, our modesty, our girls' veils, and their blushing faces. The biggest enemies of Muslims in the world today are those who are enemies of the family. If we stand for chastity and decency, we will have many enemies. Let us clearly identify our position. Our position is on the side of truth. People are flocking to Islam. Despite our being killed, our religion is spreading. No matter how much we, as scholars and theologians, shout, it does not have the impact of Sacit's face. If there is martyrdom somewhere, it means Allah loves that place," he declared.

Göktaş warned that those who attack prostration, marriage, decency, and hijab will find Muslims standing against them. "Whenever there is an insult to Islam or the Quran, Diyarbakır, Adana, and Batman will rise. We know that one of the biggest features of blasphemy is attacking where there is decency, modesty, and hijab. But this time, they will find ready Muslims standing against them. If those who attack Allah's religion find us standing against them, they will retreat and close their mouths. Allah does not want Muslims to remain silent against the injustices done to their religion. Otherwise, we will be considered nonexistent here. May Allah not deprive us of our martyrs and those who spend in His way," he concluded.

The event ended with a heartfelt prayer by Molla Ekrem Derdiyok, bringing the evening of remembrance to a solemn close. (ILKHA)
