Speaking to Fareed Zakaria GPS on CNN, scheduled to air Sunday, Kani addressed several issues, including Iran's nuclear policy and responses to recent geopolitical events.

In response to questions about Iran's nuclear stance, Kani underscored Tehran's commitment to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and its safeguards agreement with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). He emphasized that Iran has no intentions of breaching these international agreements, highlighting the significance of Ayatollah Khamenei's fatwa, which holds legal and religious weight across Iran's leadership.

Regarding the assassination of Qassem Soleimani, Kani asserted Iran's pursuit of justice through both domestic and international legal channels. He noted that the United States openly acknowledged its responsibility for the killing of the senior Iranian military commander, asserting Iran's right to seek justice in response.

The interview with Ali Bagheri Kani on CNN's program addresses ongoing tensions and Iran's diplomatic and legal responses to significant geopolitical challenges. (ILKHA)
