Yapıcıoğlu urges continued support for Gaza at HÜDA PAR congress
HÜDA PAR (Free Cause Party) convened its 5th Ordinary Grand Congress on Sunday at the Congress and Culture Centre in Keçiören District, Ankara, attracting a large assembly of party members from across Türkiye.
The event, themed "Fair Governance System, Equitable Sharing," focused on leadership elections and strategic planning to promote fairness and shared prosperity.
HÜDA PAR Chairman Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu, who was re-nominated for the presidency, addressed the congress. He began his speech with the basmala, praise, and salutations, and extended a warm welcome to all participants.
"Thank you all individually for your presence here, and I greet you with respect and affection," Yapıcıoğlu said. He also acknowledged those who could not attend due to limited space or other reasons and were watching the proceedings remotely.
"My brothers, ladies and gentlemen, young people who have brought a blessed excitement to our congress with your loud voices! You did not say 'it’s too hot in July,' or 'we are far away,' you came here from all over the country, from the east, west, and gathered here in the capital, the center of politics and administration. Once again, I greet you with the peace of Allah. Welcome, you came with blessings… May Allah be pleased with you, I thank each one of you individually. May you always be well… My brothers, you are a noble community, a self-sacrificing and dedicated community… You are a community that overcomes difficulties and obstacles with determination and patience… The country and the world have much to learn from you," Yapıcıoğlu stated.
Yapıcıoğlu paid tribute to deceased party members, recalling their dedication and sacrifices. "While walking with this caravan, we have lost some of our dear ones who have passed on. I once again pray for their mercy. Our dear ones, Hasan, Hüseyin, Riyad, Cumali, Turan, and Yasin, who were brutally murdered during the 6-8 October 2014 events in Diyarbakır, our brothers Fethi and Cengiz in Bingöl. Our brother Abdullah Deniz, who was murdered in Cizre on December 27, 2014. Our brothers Abdulcelil and Mehmet Şerif, who were brutally murdered in Idil on May 29, 2015. Our provincial secretary Sacit Pişgin, who was cowardly murdered while performing the afternoon prayer in the mosque of our Adana provincial headquarters on July 22, 2023. We remember them all with mercy. We curse their killers."
He continued: "Four of our party founders, who also served as Vice Presidents, have also passed away. First, we said goodbye to our Deputy Chairman Mehmet Yavuz on August 9, 2019, when he was just 46 years old. On February 22, 2022, we lost our first Secretary General Mahmut Tekdal. On July 25 of the same year, we lost our dedicated poet Fadıl Şani, and on February 5 of this year, we said goodbye to our mathematics teacher, Mehmet Emin Vural. Four of our provincial chairmen have passed away. May their good deeds continue to be recorded in their books of deeds."
Yapıcıoğlu listed the names and dates of the deceased provincial chairmen, concluding with, "May Allah treat them all with mercy."
Yapıcıoğlu highlighted the ongoing crisis in Gaza, stating, "Every day in Palestine and Gaza, hundreds of people are martyred. For 9 months, savage Zionism has been demolishing the homes of our brothers in Palestine, brutally killing the elderly, women, children, babies in incubators, and helpless innocents in hospital beds."
"The number of martyrs exceeds forty thousand… No one knows how many people are under the rubble… Tens of thousands are wounded. From the very first day, you have never left your brothers in Gaza alone for a moment. You have never remained indifferent to the cause of Jerusalem. Inside and outside, day and night, individually and collectively, you have voiced and informed people about the oppression. You sent your bracelets, your children's holiday allowances to your brothers, and cut back on your family's monthly expenses."
He praised the relentless efforts of party members in supporting the Palestinian cause, saying, "You have tirelessly worked day and night to do your part in the solidarity of humanity and Muslims with Palestine. You kept vigil for Gaza every night, protested the genocidal Zionists and their patron the USA. You saddened the Zionists and made your brothers happy."
Yapıcıoğlu concluded by thanking party members for their efforts during the recent elections. "You went door to door, explaining our cause to everyone you could reach. I thank you for your dedication and hard work." (ILKHA)
