Turkish Airlines flight makes emergency landing in Bucharest due to bomb threat
A Turkish Airlines flight traveling from Warsaw to Istanbul was diverted to Henri Coandă International Airport in Otopeni, Romania, on Friday evening after a bomb threat was received.
The plane, carrying 158 passengers, landed safely at 9:41 PM local time (6:41 PM GMT) following notification of the threat to Romanian authorities.
Local news outlet stirileprotv.ro reported that the aircraft involved was a Boeing 737-800 and the bomb threat was received just 16 minutes before the emergency landing.
