Turkish and Qatari Foreign Ministers discuss humanitarian crisis in Gaza
Turkish diplomatic sources revealed that Turkish and Qatari foreign ministers engaged in discussions on Tuesday regarding the escalating situation in the Gaza Strip.
During a phone call, Hakan Fidan and Mohammed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani exchanged perspectives on the dire humanitarian conditions in Gaza and explored potential initiatives aimed at achieving a cease-fire.
Since October 7, 2023, israeli forces have killed more than 31,000 civilians and injured over 72,900 others, in addition to widespread destruction, displacement, and shortages of essential resources.
Furthermore, Israel's imposition of a severe blockade on the Palestinian enclave has exacerbated the crisis, particularly affecting residents of northern Gaza, who are now facing the threat of starvation. (ILKHA)
