The closed-door meeting, shrouded in secrecy, brought together key figures responsible for safeguarding Turkey’s national security.

Despite the gravity of the gathering, no official statement was released regarding the agenda or outcomes of the meeting. However, sources indicate that discussions centered around strategic security measures, regional stability, and counterterrorism efforts.

Defense Minister Güler, who recently engaged with journalists in Ankara, shed light on the ongoing “Claw” series operations in northern Iraq. He emphasized that these operations, conducted during the summer months, aim to fortify the border and address terrorism-related challenges. Güler confidently stated: “This summer, we will complete the circle that will secure our border with Iraq and solve the terrorism issue.”

When pressed about the possibility of a major operation targeting Mount Kandil, Güler responded with assurance. “Due to our effective operations,” he asserted, “there is no longer a Kandil like there was 10-15 years ago.” He revealed that terrorists who once occupied the Kandil region have relocated to the southern Asos area.

However, Turkish forces remain vigilant, targeting armed elements wherever they emerge. Güler emphasized that geographical names hold little significance; the focus lies on eradicating threats. “No place is safe for them,” he declared. (ILKHA)
