The forces reportedly opened fire on a crowd of Palestinians who were awaiting humanitarian aid, resulting in the deaths of over 100 people and injuries to 700 others.

Stephane Dujarric, spokesperson for Guterres, conveyed the Secretary-General's condemnation during a briefing, stating: "The Secretary-General condemns the incident today in northern Gaza in which more than a hundred people were reportedly killed or injured while seeking life-saving aid."

Guterres has reiterated his call for an immediate humanitarian cease-fire and urged for urgent measures to ensure the delivery of critical aid to all those in need within Gaza. Dujarric emphasized the challenges faced by humanitarian efforts due to ongoing hostilities and urged for swift action to facilitate aid distribution.

Concerns have been raised about deaths among Palestinians in northern Gaza due to dehydration and malnutrition, prompting calls for a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding these fatalities.

Early reports indicate that israeli occupation forces unleashed heavy gunfire and shelling on the crowd of Palestinians awaiting aid south of Gaza City, resulting in a death toll of at least 104 individuals and leaving 760 others injured.

Since the beginning of the Israeli aerial and ground aggression on Gaza last October, a staggering toll of 30,035 Palestinians have lost their lives, with 70,457 others sustaining injuries. The blockade imposed by Israel, particularly in northern Gaza, has exacerbated the humanitarian crisis, pushing the population to the brink of starvation.

The impact of the conflict has forced 85% of Gaza's population into internal displacement, amidst severe shortages of essential resources such as food, clean water, and medicine. Additionally, the UN reports that 60% of Gaza's infrastructure has been damaged or destroyed as a result of the ongoing hostilities. (ILKHA)
