In the statement, the Islamic Emirate acknowledged the potential for constructive dialogue at the meeting of Special Envoys for Afghanistan convened by UN Secretary-General António Guterres in Qatar's capital, Doha. However, it emphasized the need for the Islamic Emirate to be recognized as the sole official representative of Afghanistan and for the opportunity to engage in substantive discussions with the UN at a senior level.

The statement outlined that without assurances of meaningful dialogue and acknowledgment of the current realities, participation would be deemed "unbeneficial" for the Islamic Emirate. It underscored the importance of the UN understanding and respecting Afghanistan's new government, highlighting its independence and inability to be coerced by external pressures.

Furthermore, the statement called for a shift away from past approaches characterized by coercion and unilateral impositions, advocating for a more pragmatic and realistic approach to bilateral relations. It suggested that progress could be achieved through mutual understanding and cooperation rather than repeating failed strategies of the past.

The decision reflects the Islamic Emirate's stance on the importance of sovereignty and constructive engagement in diplomatic efforts concerning Afghanistan's future. (ILKHA)
