However, aid workers said the supplies were not enough to meet the urgent needs of the population, who have been suffering from severe shortages of food, water, medicine and electricity.

The Health Ministry reported that the death toll among Palestinians had surpassed 8,000, mostly women and children, as zionist forces continued their ground and air offensive.

Most of Gaza's 2.3 million people regained access to phone and internet services on Sunday, after an israeli strike on Friday night damaged the main communication tower. Residents described the bombardment as the most intense since the war began.

On Sunday, it allowed 33 trucks loaded with water, food and medicine to cross the Rafah border from Egypt, the only entry point not controlled by Israel. Egypt has also been mediating between zionist regime and Hamas to reach a ceasefire agreement, but so far without success. (ILKHA)
