International gathering of Islamic scholars strengthens commitment to Quranic values and unity

One of the prominent voices echoing from the conference was that of Sheikh Bilal Said Shaaban, the esteemed Leader of the Islamic Tawheed Movement in Lebanon and Imam Khatib of the Repentance Mosque in Tripoli. Addressing the attacks on the Holy Quran, Sheikh Bilal pointed out a concerted effort by global imperialists to create a skewed perception of the Quran. He asserted that the Quran serves as a source of guidance and a catalyst for Muslims to stand against imperialist projects. Amidst attempts to divide Muslims along ethnic lines, he invoked the Quranic principle that "Surely all believers are brothers."

The liberation of Al-Aqsa Mosque emerged as a recurring theme, with Sheikh Bilal invoking historical figures such as Hazrat Umar, Saladin Ayyubi, and Abdul Hamid II as exemplars for Muslims. He passionately expressed hope that Muslims from diverse backgrounds would unite in the near future to fulfill the dream of liberating Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Dr. Talat Fahmi from Egypt, another distinguished participant, added depth to the conference's narrative. He underscored the significance of such scholarly conferences as opportunities for Islamic scholars to acquaint themselves with one another, exchange ideas, and uphold the Quranic decree of "Verily, this is your Ummah (one single religion). And I am your Lord. So worship me."

Dr. Talat also touched upon the importance of practicing humanitarian and Islamic ethics in the context of refugees, asserting that adherence to these principles would eliminate problems. He quoted the Quranic verse, "O people! Verily, We have created you from a male and a female and divided you into tribes and clans so that you may know one another," emphasizing the divine intention for people to understand and support each other.
