Erdoğan holds phone call with his Algerian counterpart

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune had a phone conversation to discuss the crisis in Sudan.

According to a statement by the Algerian Presidency, Erdoğan and Tebboune emphasized the need for a political solution to the conflict and urged all parties involved to find a way to end the fighting, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan.

Two leaders agreed that dialogue is essential in resolving the crisis in Sudan, the statement said.

They also discussed ways to strengthen the relationship between their countries and exchanged greetings for Eid al-Fitr.

Algeria, as the current head of the Arab League, called for an end to the ongoing conflicts in Sudan and encouraged the involved parties to find peaceful solutions to their disagreements. (ILKHA)
