“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan welcomes Pakistan’s foreign minister Bhutto Zardari’s remarks at the Munich security conference where he called a peaceful Afghanistan important for the stability of the region and asked the international community to help Afghanistan in terms of capacity building, liberating Afghan assets, removing banking restrictions and continuing humanitarian aid to Afghans,” the ministry said.
The Islamic Emirate called on Pakistani officials to discuss bilateral issues with the Afghan government instead of complaining about them in international conferences.
The ministry further said that “Pakistan’s recent insecurity is not new but something that has pre-existed for the past two decades.”
The ministry underlined that the Islamic Emirate remained determined not to allow anyone to use Afghanistan’s soil against other countries, particularly against its neighbors.
“In practice, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has proven to the countries of the region and the world that with its regular and experienced security forces, it has not allowed anyone to use Afghanistan’s soil against others,” the ministry noted.
“It should be noted that currently, Afghanistan’s security was better than most countries in the world,” the ministry added. (ILKHA)
