Agricultural input prices in Türkiye rise by 121.49 pct

Agricultural input price index increased by 121.49% annually and by 2.38% monthly, the Turkish Statistical Institute said in a statement on Friday.

Agriculture-IPI (2015=100) increased by 2.38% compared to previous month, increased by 101.69% compared to December of the previous year, increased by 121.49% compared to same month of the previous year and increased by 112.41% compared to twelve months moving averages, in November 2022.

Monthly changes by main groups, goods and services currently consumed in agricultural index increased by 2.12% and goods and services contributing to agricultural investment index increased by 4.37%. The goods and services contributing to agricultural investment index increased by 101.22% and the goods and services currently consumed in agricultural index increased by 124.51% compared to same month of the previous year.

Compared to general Agricultural-IPI, lower annual change observed in 7 subgroups while 4 subgroups were higher

Subgroups that indicated low increase were veterinary expenses with 37.93% and maintenance of materials with 65.59%. On the other hand, energy; lubricants with 172.05% and maintenance of buildings with 151.15% were the subgroups that high annual increase realized.

Compared to general Agricultural-IPI, lower monthly change observed in 6 subgroups while 5 subgroups were higher

Energy; lubricants with 1.95% and fertilizer and soil improvers with 0.53% were the subgroups that indicated monthly decrease. On the other hand, other goods and services with 8.77% and materials with 6.12% were the subgroups that high monthly increase realized. (ILKHA)
