According to local sources, police officers kidnaped a Jerusalemite young man after assaulting him in Bab as-Sahera area in the Old City.

The police also kidnaped another young man from Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood after he removed an israeli flag from the tent of far-right Knesset member Itamar Ben-Gvir, while they chased an activist for carrying a Palestinian flag near the same tent.

Six other Jerusalemite young men were kidnaped by Israeli police forces from Abu Dis town, Salahuddin street near the Old City, and Qalandia refugee camp.

Earlier on the same day, policemen kidnaped a young man identified as Jamil al-Abbasi from the Aqsa Mosque before releasing him on condition of staying away from the holy site for one week.

In a separate incident, a 16-year-old teenager was kidnaped in the evening from Beita town in southern Nablus.

Local sources said that Israeli troops stormed Beita town and kidnaped Fares Bani Shamsa from Huwara street.

Fares is the brother of martyr Moataz Bani Shamsa who was killed by an armed Jewish settler during his participation on May 18, 2017 in a march staged in the town in support of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails. (ILKHA)
